“Hell’s Kitchen is about to explode”
The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand beyond the cinema with Daredevil season 2 arriving on Netflix following the success of season 1 as the most watched original show on the platform. The universe has grown since then with the first season of sister show Jessica Jones proving to be a success and Luke Cage expected later in the year. They’ll team up with Iron Fist in a series titled The Defenders which should arrive on screens at some point in 2017…maybe.
Daredevil season two sees Matt Murdock facing up to a new enemy, The Punisher as played by The Walking Dead veteran Jon Bernthal, a vigilante prepared to clean up the streets of Hell’s Kitchen by any means possible. This should play nicely into the themes of good and evil and the lengths that heroes go towards to get the job done. It seems that 2016 is the year where super-powered individuals have big fights about their differing philosophies, as that’s the only way to settle any argument. Still, will the release of this show affect Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s performance at the Box Office? Of course not, that’s ridiculous.
Charlie Cox stars alongside Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson with Elodie Yung joining the cast as Elektra.
Daredevil arrives on small screens throughout the world on 18 March 2016
