Here’s the latest trailer for Maleficent, Disney’s new twist on the classic 1959 animation Sleeping Beauty. While the look of the film up to now had appeared to be faithful to the cartoon but this trailer uses scenes from the classic blending them to the live action. This implies that rather than this being a new twist on the classic, the action actually takes place within the confines of the original film a bit like a higher profile version of direct to video sequel The Lion King 1½. Angelina Jolie takes the title role with Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora.
Maleficent is released 30 May 2014 in the UK and the US
