The trailer for swear filled superhero satire Kick-Ass 2 featuring returning cast members Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse joined by newcomer Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes. Hit Girl swearing just isn’t as fun now she’s grown up.
This trailer features the line “Kick-Ass isn’t a costume, it’s who you really are” and you’ve got to hope that’s followed by a wise crack otherwise this franchise really got too earnest for its own good. Hopefully Jeff Wadlow’s script and director will reach the same heights Matthew Vaughn achieved with Kick-Ass in 2010.
Kick-Ass 2 is set to be released on 19 July 2013 in the UK and 16 August 2013 is the US.
