The tagline says ‘get ready for once last ride’. Do you promise? You’re not just teasing us like you were with Rocky and Rambo. Let this franchise go out on a high – a high of mediocrity. The Expendables movies are a much better idea than they are in execution. There’s just an odd vibe of direct-to-DVD about fading action stars teaming up. This time around the cast is 200% classier with the addition of Mel Gibson (the final indignity) and Harrison Ford (he wasn’t actually awake during filming). Sylvester Stallone leads a cast that includes Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes and Kelsey Grammer… wait, why is he in it?
