Here’s the trailer for Divergent

Films based on Young Adult novels can go either way. You might have a monster franchise on your hands like Twilight or The Hunger Games or it may be met with resounding apathy like The Mortal Instruments:
City of Bones.
The point is, just because something has an existing audience, doesn’t necessarily mean that it will have appeal beyond that core. Scott Pilgrim I am looking at you.

As Summit Entertainment searches for something to replace those Twilight dollars, it has turned to Veronica Roth’s Divergent trilogy. The series is set in a dystopian version of Chicago where society is divided into factions and follows 16 year old Tris played by Shailene Woodley as she has to make a life changing decision.

Divergent is released 4 April 2014 in the UK and 21 March 2014 in the US
