First look at the Doctor Who Christmas Special

Here’s a new clip from the Doctor Who Christmas Special coming to screens on Christmas Day 2014. It’s showrunner Steven Moffat’s fifth attempt at a festive special with the results varying from the sublime – “A Christmas Carol” -to the slightly dull – “The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe” – and also the impenetrable for casual viewers like last year’s – “The Time of the Doctor”. This year’s episode is unhampered by the 50th anniversary celebrations and a regeneration. The episode stars Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, Nick Frost as Santa Claus and Jenna Coleman as Clara in what could be her final episode as the Doctor’s assistant/companion/carer/friend.
