Finding Dory: New trailer for Pixar sequel

The latest trailer for Finding Dory, the belated sequel to 2003’s Finding Nemo nicely sets up the basic premise with a young Dory losing her family before forgetting she ever had them due to her short term memory problems.

This film is leaving the ocean and moving to the Marine Life Institute where Dory is taken after getting caught in some trash. This leaves Marlon and Nemo searching for a way to find their friend, and Dory encountering a whole new host of friends after she discovers clues about her past.

After a slightly patchy run, Inside Out showed that Pixar is still capable of making the finest cinematic animation, but that was followed by the dismal The Good Dinosaur which became Pixar’s first flop. With Finding Dory, they have a huge built in audience but will it be another follow up as good as Tory Story 2, or something more disappointing like Monsters University?

The cast includes Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks,Hayden Rolence, Michael Sheen, Diane Keaton, Ed O’Neill and Idris Elba with Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane directing.

Finding Dory arrives in cinemas on 29 July 2016
