Finding Dory: Latest trailer for Pixar sequel

There’s a whole lot of of comfort in the familiar and maybe that’s exactly what Pixar need after the critical and financial disappointment of The Good Dinosaur. So we return to the underwater world of Finding Nemo with Finding Dory, which may seem like a delayed sequel after 13 years, but it’s been on hard DVD rotation since then so it all feels fresh as a daisy.

Pixar are taking a fairly standard sequel approach to this one, with the breakout supporting character from the first given an expanded role and more depth whilst displaying more of those hilarious antics which made audiences fall in love with her in the first place. It’s a winning formula that can’t fail. Still, at least it’ll be better than Cars 3, but hopefully not as good as Toy Story 4.

Andrew Stanton returns to direct alongside Angus MacLane with a cast including Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Michael Sheen, Diane Keaton, Ed O’Neill and Idris Elba.

Finding Dory arrives in cinemas on 29 July 2016
